SERVICES FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
To identify suitable contractors/service providers to launch effective programs to meet local needs is always a challenge. As we become more familiar with the needs of the communities which we serve, we can identify many worthwhile causes, some of which could be helped by funding from our Foundation. The bottleneck for us is to identify suitable contractors/service providers whom could competently implement programs to address the identified need. When we can identify available contractors/service providers, we have found that they often tend to be under qualified, structurally under funded, lacking in management depth or adequate corporate governance, frequently a combination of several or all of the above failings.

The Foundation deems it a strategic step to enhance the capacity of the non-profit organizations (as "NPOs") so that they may run their organizations and launch the programs effectively. In the past years, the Foundation has organized many tea gatherings to meet with NPOs, volunteer groups and individuals to understand their concerns and needs. We have also experimented the following two programs:

2005 Volunteer Forum in Shanghai Organized by the Foundations to enhance capacity of NPOs in Shanghai
2007-8 Capacity Building for NPOs and Volunteer Groups by the Liangshuming Rural Reconstruction Centre in Beijing The project is funded by the Foundation
